Terms & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
1. Booking & Payments
To confirm any tour package, cab service, or custom travel itinerary, a deposit of 50% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the date of departure.
2. Standard Cancellation & Refund Windows
If you wish to cancel your travel booking, the following refund windows apply based on the cancellation request date:
- 30 days or more prior to departure: 90% refund of the deposit.
- 15 to 29 days prior to departure: 50% refund of the deposit.
- Less than 15 days prior to departure: The deposit is non-refundable.
3. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances
Some of our travel destinations are located in remote, high-altitude, or border-adjacent regions. Road closures due to landslides, heavy snowfall, sudden administrative restrictions, or changes in security advisories are beyond our operational control.
In the event that travel is suspended due to such circumstances (Force Majeure):
- We will attempt to reschedule your trip at a mutually agreeable later date.
- If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund the payments made, minus any non-recoverable deposits already paid to hotels, transport operators, or local guides.
4. High-Altitude Travel & Liability Waiver
Some of our tours involve traversing mountain roads reaching significant elevations. Travellers must assume responsibility for their own physical fitness and readiness for high-altitude conditions.
Liability Release: The Alpine Tours and Travels, our drivers, and guides will not be held responsible for injuries, altitude sickness, travel delays, lost baggage, or medical complications arising from high-altitude conditions, extreme weather, or security check delays.
5. Permit Requirements
While we assist with local travel permit inquiries where applicable, the final approval of permits is strictly at the discretion of the relevant district and police authorities. We are not liable for trip cancellations resulting from permit denials or identification document issues.
6. Itinerary Changes
We reserve the right to modify or rearrange the travel itinerary due to weather conditions, road accessibility, or safety concerns. Any such changes will be communicated promptly, and we will make every effort to provide an equivalent or enhanced experience.
7. Traveller Responsibilities
All travellers are expected to:
- Carry valid government-issued photo identification at all times during the trip.
- Follow instructions from guides and drivers regarding safety and conduct.
- Respect local customs, traditions, and the environment.
- Inform us in advance of any medical conditions that may affect travel.
